Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account info (name, email); family/custody data you and your co-parent enter (schedules, messages, expenses); documents and receipts you upload, which may include your children's medical, school, or legal records.

Children's information

Coparently is used by adult co-parents to manage information about their minor children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children, and children are not permitted to hold accounts. Because family records may include information about minors, we apply the same security and access protections described below to all family data, regardless of whose information concerns.

How we use it

Solely to provide the Coparently service to your family account. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Only members of your family account can access your family's data, enforced at the database level — no family can technically access another family's records. Coparently staff do not access family content except for active security investigations or as legally required (e.g., valid subpoena or court order).

Data breach notification

If we become aware of a security breach affecting your data, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable state law, generally without unreasonable delay.

Data retention

Records are retained for the life of your subscription. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time, subject to extended retention where required by an active legal hold, subpoena, or court order — in which case we will retain only what's specifically required and notify you where legally permitted.

Your rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know what data we hold, request a copy, request deletion, or opt out of certain data uses. Contact support to exercise these rights; we do not sell personal information.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to shared family data is enforced via row-level security at the database level.

Third parties

We use Stripe for payment processing and Supabase for data storage/hosting. Neither has access to your content beyond what's required to provide their service.
