Terms of Service
The service
Coparently provides tools for co-parents to coordinate schedules, track expenses/reimbursements, share documents, and communicate. Coparently is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Not legal advice / no evidentiary guarantee
Records generated by Coparently (messages, timestamps, receipts) may be useful in family court proceedings, but Coparently does not guarantee that any record will be accepted as evidence in any court or jurisdiction, and is not a substitute for legal counsel.
Account & billing
One family account links exactly two co-parents, sharing one subscription. The family creator is the billing contact and Stripe customer of record. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
If one co-parent cancels
The subscription is tied to the family account, not an individual. If the paying co-parent cancels, both co-parents lose access to paid features at the end of the current billing period, regardless of the other co-parent's wishes. Either co-parent may become the billing contact by initiating their own subscription if the original account lapses.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Coparently to harass, threaten, or harm your co-parent or any user; not to upload false, fraudulent, or fabricated reimbursement claims or documents; and not to falsify or attempt to falsify timestamps or records generated by the platform.
Data ownership
You retain ownership of content you upload. Coparently retains a limited license to store and display it back to you and your co-parent as part of the service.
Termination
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may cancel at any time; canceling does not delete historical records already created, which remain subject to the Privacy Policy's retention terms.
Dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis, except where prohibited by law, with venue in Maryland.
Limitation of liability
Coparently is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coparently is not liable for custody determinations, legal outcomes, or damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on records generated by the platform.
